COSMETIC TATTOO FAQ’s

Does it hurt?

While every step is taken to prevent pain, there may be some discomfort but it's nothing you can't handle. Numbing creams and gels are used before and during all cosmetic tattoo procedures to reduce and usually eliminate any pain you may feel.

Will I bleed?

Bleeding is totally normal but in most cases it is very minimal. Taking daily aspirin, fish oil, blood thinners, alcohol and caffeine should be avoided a few days before the procedure. Having your procedure done during a menstrual cycle can also make you more sensitive.

How long does a cosmetic tattoo procedure take?

The initial session can take up to 3 hours to perfect. Measuring and drawing the procedure takes the most time. The actual procedure takes about 30-45 minutes total. Your touch up session is usually shorter if you retained the pigment and don't want to make any changes to the shape.

How long will my cosmetic tattoo last?

Everyone is different and several factors dictate how long your cosmetic tattoo will last before it fades out. Initially the pigment fades 20-40% during the healing process. Annual touch ups are required if you wish to keep your cosmetic tattoo looking fresh.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary depending on the artists level of skill and how much work needs to be done. Beginner artists with less experience may charge as little as $200 but beware of low prices because you often get what you pay for. It is always very important to research your artist and see their healed results and talk to their clients if you can. This is your face, it is worth the best.
